I seen them on tv like last Christmas. No singing, just fantastic sounding music! There were about 6 of them? A lot of keyboards, and the lead dude had semi-long hair, and not real young. At the time, they were playing Christmas music, but also there was another song they played that has been around a long time, but I can't think of the name of it!! (that's what happens when you get old!) I keep trying to say "electric light orchestra", but I don't think it was the band I keep pulling-up, although there were a lot of lights in their show. I know this is a long shot, but this has been driving me crazy for months! Any help out there, please??!!!!!

Electric Light Orchestra has been around for many years, but I don't remember them ever doing a lot of just instrumental, and any Christmas specials (I might be wrong about that one.)
They do a lot lot lot of vocals, though. Maybe you are thinking of Mannheim Steam Roller, because they show up mostly at Christmas.

Hmmm....ELO has singing, not instrumental. Don't think they ever did Christams music either. Was it Trans-Siberian Orchestra? (although a very large group if you include all of the background) They do tour concert venues during the holidays.

Could also be Mannheim Steamroller...except that is pretty much just one guy %26amp; synthesizers. http://www.mannheimsteamroller.com/index...
