I would listen to it! I am a music lover, so if I like the sound of something, I don't care why type of music it is. Your band has a nice mixture of cultures and a great mix of music, so I don't know who wouldn't at least give it a shot. I don't really have any advice to give you, but as a thought, maybe you guys could have some home-made demo cd's and pictures made and have available for the gig along with contact info in case someone else would like to book your band.

last time I saw a band with that many people it was the mars volta, and they sucked

thats not to say you would, especialy since you didnt list a tambourine player

it might be eter to find a single focus rather than trying to be all things to all people.

Listen, bro. What matters about music is NOT the categorization. What actually matters if the SOUND. The feel of your music as a whole. Don't let yourself be in doubt as to if people would like a categorization.

Develop a personal sound for your band and make a difference! The kind of music you explained that you'll be playing, sounds good to me; pretty experimental is must be. Always remember to play what your HEART desires. Never play something just to 'satisfy' a certain audience. Play what identifies your persona.

Best of luck to you and your band and I wish you platinum ;)

I don't think the style you choose to play will matter, but if you are talented and catch some breaks, you have a decent shot. So yeah, I'd probably listen to you. Then again, I am more interested in the soap opera aspects of your band at the moment. It will be way more interesting to see how all those relationships turn out.

Im in a metal band and a stoner band and I have some advice. Although your into all different styles (same as myself) using different styles can really bog down your sound. If you have a really tight band and you can make it work it can sound awesome though more often than not it can sound disjointed. I've seen it before bands that try to incorporate a little of everything in there sound and bring a bit of originality but end up alienating part of the audience. They enjoy the first few songs then do something completely different and the audience lose interest. I would try to get a balanced mix and work on developing your own style and something you enjoy playing. Your band can grow and what you sound like at the start may be completely different a year later.

I'm not a big fan of black or death metal, but your band sounds great. (Nu and industrial metal don't suck!)
