"grunge" is not really a music style, alice in chains, nievana soundgarden ...... and some other bands come from settlers call them self grunge bu im not really sure what is grunge i have a band and almost the 99% of the ppl that heard my band says that we are grunge but i keep saying we not really sure what we are.. but do u think is cuz the cain of bands that i like ? thats why i make myslef soudn like grunge even if i dont want to? i dress lil bit like grunge most of my friends have long hair and i dont lol.. well anyway we have a concert when is gonna be more than 40 bands there and we have been called to play there but the manager is gonna ask us the cain of style that we play and if i dotn say anything.... i dotn think is going to be too well .. well im just 18 years old and the ppl in the band are 26 /22/19 and i dont really care about the concert that much but they do but lol should i say that we are grunge?

Grunge is sort of like alternative rock. It's just dirtier guitar playing (yet a lot better than modern alternative rock guitar playing), which means a sort of fuzzy sound, powerful drumming, loud, and medium-fast. If your band fits these characteristics, then your band is a grunge band. If not, describe your band's musical characteristics, and I'll tell you.

If you're still not sure, just say alternative rock. Grunge is the derivative form.

I think you might be drunk instead of grunge. Slow down on your typing and learn to spell those pesky words like "don't". Believe it or not, people who don't come from Seattle can sound grunge. You just don't want to narrow yourself down to a specific brand of music and that is okay. Just play what rocks you and rock out with your cock out.
