I have a little longer then shoulder length hair, it's layered. It's in the middle of thick and thin! Oh and it's sort of wavy not that much though. But it definately is completely straight! Please help! School starts in 3 weeks!! I also have a couple of cute headbands, elastic bands, bobby pins, shark clips to work with. (I'll give curling a try if it doesn't take more then 10 minutes to curl!!) Thanks ily all xoxxxx

I love the half pony! So versatile. Try leaving a few tendrils in the front to accentuate your face, but not so much that you look like a shrimp.

Also, some really elegant variations of an easy ponytail:

1. High ponytail at the crown of your head. Wrap hair around the base to cover the elastic band.

2. Part your hair on the side. Tie your ponytail on the opposite side of the part, over your shoulder.

3. Take the section of your hair between the arches of your eyebrows. Pin it back, making it puff a little, then tie the rest of your hair in a pony.

4. Tie your hair in a high pony, and just curl the bottom ends with a large curling iron. Just 2 or 3 big curls will only take about 3 minutes.

Also, my favorite bad hair day tricks:

1. Put hair in a messy sort of bun at the crown of your head. Secure loose ends around the base with pins, and go ahead and leave some hanging. Cute clips around the base would work too.

2. Just pinning the section of hair between the eyebrows back (but not too far back), and letting the rest of your hair down

3. Part hair on one side, not farther than the arch of the brow. Pin back the hair on the other side of the part (the "skinnier" side). Kinda vintage, but cute.

I would do a style that is shorter in the back and longer in the front. Almost between jenny mccarthy and victoria beckams hair. if you thin out your hair at the end it takes no time at all to style.
